Portrait of a Yucky Lunch Box
Just so you know I'm not exaggerating about what Ben's lunch box looks like when he returns home from school, here's a picture.
So now, you can see, the soft lunch box never stood a chance.
This was actually a good day, since he ate most of his banana sandwich. Each day as I take the lunch box out of his back pack, I kind of gag before I even open it up. I need to get creative with what to put in there so it doesn't come home covered in banana-apple guts.

Have you tried making him clean out the lunchbox when he gets home? That might cure him of that quirk. Yuck!! :)

OH MY!! I don't understand why they can't put the food back in the bag.My does the same thing.
My kids 1st and 5th grade are responsible for cleaning out their lunch boxes after school.

My kids usually dump at school, or they'll return things to the ziploc bags, but I have them empty them when they get home. Very often, they'll ask to finish what they didn't eat at lunch - ick!
