Merry Christmas!

No, I am not dead. No, I did not give up blogging. No, I did not forget how to work a keyboard.

If you could see my bedroom, which looks like a cross between Toys R Us and the North Pole, and the related stack of broken down Amazon boxes in my basement, you would know that I can work a keyboard just fine, thank you.

Thanks to Mir and Chris, my kids will receive every cool toy invented this Christmas, and I do not have to rob a bank to pay my credit cards off in January.

Actually, not every cool toy. Even though all his friends have one, my 7-year-old will not receive a Gameboy this Christmas. Let us bow our heads in sympathy for him, he of the four-desktop plus a . Ok, that's long enough.

I have so much I want to tell you about. Like, how I was getting up at 6 am and exercising! For two months straight! Then I hurt my ankle. Which isn't as impressive but, as an excuse not to exercise, is fairly compelling.

In the meantime, I've used my early mornings to lift weights, start the laundry, pray, and shop online. I know, how zen. Clean, Pray, Shop. Maybe I should write a book.

I'm excited to get back into blogging, although I'm in desperate need of a total redesign and a switch to Wordpress. Know anyone you can recommend to do the job?

I also haven't told you that my Johnny's turning 6 on Wednesday, and how starting my Christmas shopping early never works for me because I can't stop shopping and I need a pully system to get the gifts from my bedroom to my family room. Oh, and I never told you about the coyote poop I found in my backyard. My fenced-in backyard. Of course I have pictures.

As cruel as it is, you'll have to wait for the coyote poop pictures. It just didn't seem festive enough to post on Christmas eve.

I hope you all have a peaceful, joyous Christmas, and that someone cleans your bathroom without you even asking them to.

Hey, miracles happen.

  • Glad you're doing so well, Kris. I was wondering why we haven't heard from you in awhile, but I didn't want to seem like a creepy internet stalker. Hope you had a wonderful holiday!
